How do I become an eXite® member?

A prerequisite for eXite® membership is a contract with EDITEL Austria and naturally the appropriate technical infrastructure. The solution which is suitable for you must be clarified beforehand. We would be very happy to advise you personally in this respect. Please contact our customer service for further information.

 

 

 

What is a unit?

A unit is simply an artificial currency. Every billing item in eXite® has a defined unit price and the value of a unit is equivalent to € 18.50. For cost examples please write an e-mail to info@editel.at.

 

 

 

Is there a detailed breakdown of my eXite® invoice?

You can find a detailed list of individual positions on your eXite® invoice at the eXite® Online Services. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or by e-mail.

 

 

 

What if I forget my eXite® password?

If you forget your password please contact the eXite® Helpdesk: +43/1/505 86 02 99 or support@editel.at. You will then receive a new password which will be sent directly to your registered e-mail address.

 

 

 

How can I get in contact with foreign business partners?

eXite® is connected to foreign service providers and this means data can be exchanged with business partners around the world. Using eXite® Online Services you can find out if your partner is already known in the system. If this is not the case, the following parameters must be known to set up a connection to the respective business partner:

  • GLN of the partner
  • Address of the partner with the foreign service provider

This data can be entered immediately via the eXite® Online Services or sent by e-mail to info@editel.at .

 

 

 

Does EDITEL Austria also provide software for data exchange?

EDITEL Austria offers a variety of product solutions and services from web to fully integrated solutions. For more information please see our Products & Services or contact our sales team. In addition our software partners offer customized solutions.

 

 

 

Is it possible to exchange unstructured data with eXite®?

eXite® also offers the ability to transmit unstructured data. They can either be binary files or proprietary data formats. However, a pre-condition is that such data is sent in an EDIFACT or XML envelope.

 

 

 

What is a converter and why is it required?

A converter is software which is used for the translation of data. In essence, it means messages in the EDIFACT format are transformed into an internal company format and vice versa. Therefore, the main purpose of the converter is to allow the import and export of EDI to and from the ERP system.

 

 

 

Who can help me with software questions?

We are happy to support you in the optimal choice of EDI software. You can find preliminary information for this purpose here. You can find a list of our software partners here. Please note that if you have any questions concerning the regular operation of your EDI application, only the respective software supplier is able to give you expert assistance and information.

 

 

 

Is there a description of message formats?

You can find detailed message profiles in accordance with ECR and most retailers here.

 

 


What if my ERP system has no EDI interface?

If your ERP system does not have interfaces enabling the export of, for example, order data, delivery note and invoice data, then you have to use trade IT and afterwards transfer the data manually to your inventory management system.

How can I best estimate my expected eXite® service costs?

The eXite® cost structure depends for the most part on transmitted data volume. Therefore, to obtain a cost estimate the following two important parameters are required:

  • number of messages to exchanged (per week or month)
  • average size of messages to be exchanged
