eXite® webIT client Installation

Before installing the webIt client please make sure you fulfill the following system requirements:

• Windows as from 98
• Internet Explorer (as from Version 5.5) or Firefox
• JRE (Java Runtime Environment) 1.5.0 or higher (integrated in your download file)
• Adobe Reader 5.0.5 or higher
• Port 11080 in the Firewall is opened

Installation Guide

1. Download ExiteWebClient2006.zip and extract it
2. Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and select jre_setup.exe and follow the instructions.
3. Execute ExiteWebClient2006.exe.
   
4. Select your language
   
5. Accept the licence agreement
6. Select component "Exite WebClient 2006"
   ATTENTION: The option "Turkey Data" includes Turkish master data and should be used by Turkish suppliers only!
7. Select install path (Please select the existing directory if you are running an webIT client update. In this case make sure the program is closed before starting the update)
8. The installation of your webIT client is completed
9. To start the webIT client, select "WebClient Service starten" from the menu "eXite WebClient 2006". Now webIT client imports the provided master data (corporations, partner, etc). This process may take some time. 
10. Configure your basic settings in the configuration menu (e.g. eXite® user & password)
11. Insert master data (company, products & prices, additional partners) or check existing master data. For more information see the Guideline Product Master Data Import.
    
12. Go Live with the exchange of business data with your trading partners!
